This is the female Brewer's Blackbird that was hanging out with the male along the rocky Monterey Bay coastline .

This male Brewer's Blackbird was foraging in the rocky sand along Monterey Bay, California.  These blackbirds are found only in the western half of the U.S.  They look very similar to the Common Grackle, but are more the size of a Red-winged Blackbird.
