This Great White Egret was moving from one fishing spot to another. She is flanked by a Ring-billed Gull on the left and a Herring Gull on the right.

This Great White Egret was one of 2 that were perched in a big old evergreen tree by the bay.  They were there for over half an hour resting and grooming.

After catching the fish, this great white egret landed back on her favorite perch to enjoy her catch. Virginia Beach, VA August 2006.

I spent several hours watching this great white egret fish off this log.  In this shot she flew off the log, grabbed a fish while airborne and headed back into her perch. (Virginia Beach, VA August 2006)
