While watching the Crows in our willow tree this morning, I noticed 2 female Red-winged Blackbirds on a branch next to them. They usually arrive about 10-14 days after the males, so they are right on schedule. Now the male red-wings will really start showing off.
Later in the morning a huge "V" of geese flew overhead. Most of them (75+) were Canadians, but there were also about 20 Snow Geese in the formation gleaming in the sunshine.
This afternoon, I heard a new bird call. When I looked out the window, a Song Sparrow was looking back at me
