July 25, 2008 - Several Surprise Visits |

Several unexpected surprise visits made yesterday a wonderful nature watching day here at Sugar Run Farm.
Two fawns came out of the woods across the road and romped for a few minutes in our front yard. They then quickly ran back into the woods as if mom might disapprove of them being out in broad daylight.
Unusual bird visitors included a male yellow warbler, juvenile red eyed vireo, and a juvenile baltimore oriole. It was the first time I have ever seen a vireo in our yard.
