While I had the kitchen window open to get some late afternoon shots today, a juvenile chickadee flew in through the window.  It flew around the kitchen and dining room looking for a way out.  My wife and I opened all the doors hoping it would find its way out.  It kept flying into the walls above the windows and doors. 

Finally it perched on a hanging ornament next to the top of the kitchen window.  So I opened the top of the window, held the ornament out the window and nudged the chickadee with a finger expecting it to fly off.  It did not budge, it just chirped when I touched it.  So I propped the ormanent on the top of the window frame with the bird standing on it.  It stayed there for about 10 minutes alternately looking inside the kitchen and out into the yard before it finally flew off.
