Nesting

Barn Swallow Nest - 2nd Round - August 13, 2012

The Barn Swallow pair that nested in our garage this spring made their second nest on the flood lamp on our back porch. Aside from an absolute mess on our porch deck, it was nice to have a close-up view of them growing up. Three of the 4 youngsters in this shot had been out of the nest for about an hour this afternoon. Dad was coaxing the 4th one, but he wasn't quite ready to venture out.
