Nesting

Tree Swallow Chick in Nest Box - June 17, 2012

We have Tree Swallows nesting in 7 nest boxes spread around our property along the horse pasture fence lines. This Tree Swallow chick is waiting for his parents to arrive with bugs; he is the last one left in the box. The adults make a delivery about every 2 minutes. An hour after I took this photo he left the nest box.
