Female Red-winged Blackbirds Arrive - March 21, 2010
Six female Red-winged Blackbirds arrived the other day. They tend to ignore all the males who are trying to impress them with loud screeching and wing bar displays. This gal was quietly ground-feeding under our red-twig dogwood bush.
