Female Red-winged Blackbird Ground Feeding - May 9, 2010
This is one of 3 female Red-winged Blackbirds that hang out with the 16 males. I'm not sure which male she has decided on as a partner, but she ground feeds alone in the tall grass. The males are all posturing nearby.
