Male Bluebird in Blooming Serviceberry Tree - May 6, 2011
Every morning I stand on my porch and whistle 3 times to the Bluebird pair to let them know I am putting mealworms out. The male is usually perched in our crabapple tree near the nest box. The female is sitting on eggs and comes flying out of the box when she hears me. Chicks should hatch late this week or early next week. I will know for sure when the parents start making mealworm runs to the nest box.
