Bunting - Indigo Bunting

Juvenile Indigo Bunting - First Ever Sighting - August 9, 2008

I haven't seen the female Indigo Bunting yet this year, but yesterday this juvenile Indigo Bunting showed up out front along with the male. This is our first ever sighting of a juvenile Indigo Bunting. The juveniles are much like the females only a lighter shade of brown. This little one actually stood up to the house wren.
