Grosbeak - Evening Grosbeak

Evening Grosbeak Pair on Perch - November 4, 2010

I had read that we should be expecting Evening Grosbeaks this year since their seed crop in Canada was poor this year. Yesterday, 2 females showed up at our place and perched in one of our crabapple trees for about 15 minutes. I'll pamper them with black-oiled sunflower seed in hopes they will invite more to join them.
