Female Evening Grosbeak Warming Claw - January 21, 2008
A group of 8 evening grosbeaks were in yesterday morning. It was 10 degrees and the wind chill was below zero. This female was holding her claw up to her breast feathers periodically to warm it as she ate sunflower seeds.
