Grosbeak - Evening Grosbeak

Evening Grosbeak Surprise - November 4, 2007

Yesterday while I was eating my lunch, a group of 8 Evening Grosbeaks arrrived all at once and crowded into one of our small covered feeder platforms. They were too close to the house to get any shots, and I was not at all prepared. One of them flew to the water garden while I got my camera and I was able to squeeze off a few shots before they all disappeared.
