Western Sandpipers Closer - December 16, 2014

These four Western Sandpipers came closer than any of the others. Western Sandpipers look much like the Least Sandpiper, but the Westerns have a longer slightly curved bill. Not sure why a shorebird on the east coast would be called a Western Sandpiper. Chincoteague Wildlife Reserve shallows
