Warbler - Northern Parula

Male Northern Parula Warbler - May 10, 2010

I was surprised and delighted to find a pair of Northern Parula Warblers while walking through one of my favorite birding areas this morning. This male was moving through the branches feeding on bugs. He was upside down much of the time, and in constant motion. In this shot he stopped to sing for his mate.
