<p> When this male Greater Yellowlegs saw me reposition a bit, he gave an immediate alarm signal to the female on the far bank. He raised his wings straight up and gave a harsh call. The wings stayed up for about 15 seconds until he was satisfied I was no longer a threat.</p>
