Pine Siskins Are Back - October 26, 2010 - Video Attached

It has been 2 years since I have seen these guys. This afternoon 8 Pine Siskins arrived and were ground feeding and bathing in my backyard. I quickly got some extra thistle seed and spread it out for them, disturbing them temporarily. They perched not far away and immediately flew back to continue ground feeding. A few of them were eating black-oiled sunflower seeds. I'm going to pamper them in hopes that they stay and spread the word that feeding is good at the Acton's. 25 of them stayed here for 3 months two years ago.
